Hmmm, I disagree. Although modern age has indeed changed our psychological behaviors, we’re fully capable of rational thinking and can’t just say “it wasn’t my fault” to justify looking at your screens in social gatherings… The fact that you feel “awkward” when you’re the only one not looking at your phone is your own choosing. It’s not about having something interesting enough to say to someone to make them stop looking at their phones, it’s about their realizing that a person in front of them should always be worth listening and paying full attention to in the first place.
